Gateway Red Hawks Esports teams offer interested students a competitive and friendly gaming environment. Athletes compete and practice in the state-of-the-art Red Hawk Esports Arena on Gateway’s Racine Campus.
Gateway offers students two esports opportunities
Red Hawks Esports Varsity Team: Gateway student athletes compete against other collegiate teams in various esports as a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Gateway’s varsity Red Hawks Esports team will began competing in Spring 2022. Positions on the esports roster are competitively open to all interested Gateway students. Current tryouts will be held during the Fall 2023 Semester. Specific dates for those tryouts have yet to be set.
Red Hawks Esports Club: The club has been built for Gateway students who want a competitive, yet friendly, gaming environment. The club has teams in NBA 2K24, Fortnite, Drone Racing League, Conflict of Nations WWIII, Fall Guys, FIFA 23, Hearthstone, iRacing, League of Legends, Minecraft, Multiverses, Overwatch, Rocket League, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, 911 Operator, Roblox, and Valorant.
